A smaller Kniphy (or is it a Phofie?), at about 16” tall, compact with narrow foliage. Flower spikes appear over a long season, summer to fall and are orange at the base and red on top and draw hummers like a magnet. Nice cut flower, drought and deer resistant and requires very little care. Average soil, full sun, water when dry. Nice Kni-phofie for the smaller garden or the foreground in a larger one! USDA Z6-9 3" pot
Kniphofia 'Poco Sunset' has dramatic, bicolour reddish orange and orange, tubular flowers on vertical spikes. The plants have a very long bloom time with repeat blooming from July through October. The short leaves are narrow and grassy. The Poco Series is characterized by its short habit, vigour, and its crowns that multiply quickly and produces flowers on short spikes in the first season. Popular with hummingbirds.
