    Crocus fleischeri is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Features grassy texture. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer, dry when dormant. Does well in gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil.     Crocus fleischeri is a rare and distinctive species from southwestern Turkey and the adjacent Greek Islands. It has narrow, pure white petals that open flat like a white star in the early spring garden. The central branched pistils are bright red-orange and the stamens bright orange with a flare of yellow beneath. Taken together this is a beautiful and unique Crocus.
