Perennial clumps of ferny foliage burst forth with 30” sprays of creamy white flowers late spring to early summer that nearly cover the plants. Flowers resemble Astilbe… but this genus can get by with a lot less water. Plants can expand to 4’ wide over time and create quite a show! Morning sun to moderate shade, great at woodland edges; moist, humusy rich soils ideal but tolerant of heavier soils and some drought especially in the shade. Tough plant with a soft lacey appearance.

Aruncus 'Chantilly Lace' produces lacy, branched, horizontal spikes of creamy white flowers on stems to about three feet tall atop Astilbe-like foliage. Plant in part shade/part sun in dry, average or moist soils. Tolerant of somewhat dry soils. Bulks up slowly in the first couple years but then the flower displays take off.
