Anemone japonica 'Red Riding Hood' is a vigorous, clumping selection with thickly-petaled flowers in deep, rosy, magenta-pink. The flowers are held on strong, upright stems to 18 inches tall above compact foliage and bloom longer than most anemones from late July until October, then form attractive seed heads like small cotton balls adding interest until a hard frost. The Fantasy series also includes 'Pocahontas' and 'Cinderella.'
