Hydrangea macrophylla Inspire has unique, star-shaped, single or double florets with narrow petals arranged in large mopheads in shades of deep pink to lavender-blue depending on the pH of the soil. It blooms from early summer to mid-fall on both old and new wood and is an excellent option for climates where late frost may damage buds. A dense, compact shrub 40" tall and wide. Easy to care for but requires summer moisture.

Trying to Inspire you to buy more hydrangeas. This is one of the many new hydrangeas with unusual shaped petals available in hydrangeas! Hurray for new DNA and Concept Plants. Very elongated petals on a full blooming hydrangea and doubled or triple flowers. Showy and colorful in all types of soil or in a container. Color deepens as the bloom ages. I can't wait to see this one in full bloom. Dark glossy foliage is stunning contrast to the bright florets, too.
