Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Formerly Aster 'Vasterival'. Myriads of pink fading to lavender daisies in multiple sprays adorn this plant in September into October. It can get quite tall (4-5') unless pinched back, which we have done in our garden and it remained a blousy 2-3'. It does run a bit, so use where you want a massing of this pink beauty. Rumor has it that this fall bloomer was named for a certain Princess Sturdza's garden at Le Vasterival in France. Our guess is it is a hybrid of A. lateriflorus, though not much information is available.
