    Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Eye-catching plum wine foliage with deeper almost black markings makes for an exciting contrast foliage plant with golden shades or pair with Athyrium pictum (Painted Fern) for a more subtle coloring. Light pink flowers on 16-18" stems create a haze above above clumps of low 8-10" tall clumps of foliage.
