Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Schizachryium 'Blue Paradise' forms bold, wiry, upright mounds of silvery blue foliage and stems that develop wine red colours in fall. The flower spikes are deep burgundy-purple and appear in late summer persisting into winter. Grow in full sun in lean soils. Previous cultivars would look gorgeous for months then flop over sideways in late summer. This cultivar is said to remain strongly upright.
A great grass for low maintenance gardens. Powder blue slender upright foliage takes on wine tones in cool temperatures. Winter color is a warm amber. Grows 36-45" tall, and is happy in lean as well as average soils. A recent intro of an underutilized native grass, and not to be confused with the cultivar 'Blue Heaven'. Shipping beefy quart pots.
