Introduced to cultivation by plant explorer Chinese Wilson in 1908, this seldom seen late winter/early spring blooming shrub does that thing that draws oohs and ahs...it blooms before it leafs out dripping with racemes of cream colored flowers from its wide branching stems. Fall color varies in shades of gold and orange and red. Our 6 year old plant is now about 40" tall and 60" wide.
