    Begonia boliviensis 'Bossa Nova White' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In summer white flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with mostly sun - mostly shade and regular water. Prefers to be dry in winter, dry when dormant. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    Begonia boliviensis is a tuberous form bearing typical orange 4 petaled blossoms with a cascading habit. Hybrid selections in other colors have come and gone, but we just imported a form called 'Boss Nova White', with pink tinged white blossoms. Slow to get going in the spring, it will eventually explode with consistent heat and warm night temperatures.
