Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The largest in the Swan Series, this A. hybrida x A. rupicola is a vigorous grower, but always a clumper and never a runner! Clumps of pretty green foliage 12-18” are topped by large, white, yellow centered, semi-double flowers with stunning violet reverses on waving stems to 3’ tall. Nonstop blooms for us June to November! Appreciates moist fertile soil, takes sun in cool climates but protect from hot afternoon scorching elsewhere. Good cut flower.
This lovely hybrid Anemone from Brit Elizabeth MacGregor is a semi double form on somewhat taller 2' stems. White petals undersided with shades of violet blue begin to show off in early summer, and continue to flower throughout the summer. They may take break during extreme heat, but will pick up again once it subsides. We have found they do like an evenly moist soil yet well drained, and partial shade is preferable to hot baking sun.
