And yet another Swan to swoon over! Larger flowers and leaves that its predecessor ‘Wild Swan’; forms a 2’ mound, flowers on stems to 30” as early as June until frost; sun to part shade. Flowers are semi-double white with lilac reverses and yellow centers. Thrives in good garden soil with consistent moisture; deer and critter resistant. This is a clumper not a spreader. You can’t beat this for dependable long season bloom! USDA Zone 6-8  4" pot
A spectacular yet elegant hybrid, Anemone 'Dreaming Swan' first produces single flowers followed by more typical large, semi-double flowers with lilac blue reverses from late June through October. It is non-running and 18 inches tall with compact, velvety green mounds of foliage. From Elizabeth MacGregor's Swan Series, hybrids bred in Scotland involving A. rupicola and up to 4-5 other parents! May prefer a bit more sun than 'Wild Swan.'
This lovely selection, from English nurserywoman Elizabeth McGregor, is a variation on 'Wild Swan', with slightly larger semi double flowers and slightly taller stature, with stems up to 2' tall. White petals have a slightly pink cast, and are reversed in lavender. Blooms begin in early summer and can continue into September, but plants prefer cooler temperatures and may slow down flower production in hot summer areas. Grow in a rich well drained soil in full su or partial shade. Clumps grow to 2' across.
