Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Whether you are in Illinois, Alabama, Tennessee or Georgia, (or any other state that has a Decatur city or township) this hydrangea will be a faithful and early bloomer for you. Spectrum of colors are vast, from electric blue to soft pink, summer color will be in full glory. This truly remonant blooming variety came to us from the Center of Applied Nursery Research in Dearing, Georgia. Like the story for other amazing reblooming varieties like Penny Mac and Sadie Ray, this variety is all over the city of Decatur, Georgia and flowers prolifically every year. One of the remonant hydrangeas that is similar to Endless Summer(tm) the original. Blooms age green and red during the summer for an antique look.
Oh good, you like pastels. We do too - they are cool and calming. Decatur Blue bigleaf hydrangea is a classic blue pastel from Georgia. It's a remontant mophead, akin to Endless Summer and Penny Mac. Remontant means it will rebloom a second time later in the summer or, should a frost kill the first round of spring flowers, Decatur Blue will regrow and set flower buds again so you'll at least get that second round.
