Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Adiantum microphyllum is a graceful tropical maidenhair fern that displays tiny, frilly fan-shaped fronds carried on thin black stems. This variety stays compact, forming a clump of arching fronds up to 12″ tall. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil which is moist but not waterlogged. Prefers bright, filtered sunlight and is excellent as a houseplant or in a seasonal container in a consistently humid space, such as a greenhouse or terrarium. Protect from freezing temperatures!
I have to admit that when I first saw this I stared drooling - tiny chartreuse leaves on almost invisible thin wiry stems look like soft, fluffy clouds. This delicate beauty from the Himalayas needs a sheltered spot from wind, well-drained organic soil that is consistently moist and bright shade. Forms an ethereal, dense 1' mound. Gardener's cotton candy?
