Sempervivum 'Pacific Blue Ice' is an evergreen groundcover cactus / succulent with blue, green, purple and variegated foliage. In fall, spring and summer pink flowers emerge. Features glaucous texture. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

Sempervivum Berry Blues offers smokey blue-grey tones on large rosettes that flush with burgundy in cooler weather. The dangerously collectible Chick Charms series offers the boldest coloured and best-growing hen and chicks available. Sempervivum are super hardy requiring only full sun and excellent, sharp drainage, especially in coastal BC. Grow them as an edger for pathways or borders or in pots.
An attractive addition for a rockery, crevices, trough gardens, containers or raised beds, 'Pacific Blue Ice' has steel blue foliage in summer but takes on burgundy tints with cooler temperatures. Many offsets or chicks are produced off the 4" mother hen rosette. Plants grow only 3-4" tall, and the width depends on how many offsets you get. super Hardy and deer resistant. Pictures here is its winter color.
Large rosetted of neatly overlapping leaves in blue gray transform with cool weather with enhanced burgundy hues. Of easiest culture, grows in patio pots with just a weekly watering. Evergreen foliage.
