Lewisia cotyledon ‘Elise Mix’ displays large, evergreen fleshy rosettes of green spoon leaves. Showy clusters of pinwheel flowers in a single hue from a wide range of bright colors available. Any well-drained soil is suitable, though prefers gravels with minimal soil. This low-growing plant is a good plant for rock or alpine gardens. Drought tolerant once established.
Lewisia forms little evergreen succulent rosettes and blooms in late spring with clusters of brilliantly coloured flowers which, in the case of 'Elise', consists of pink, rose, salmon, orange, white, yellow and some bicolors. A native of alpine regions, Lewisia require good drainage and enjoy full to part sun. Plant them in containers, rock gardens and in the crevices of retaining walls.
A breakthrough in breeding from Holland, 'Elise' blooms the first year from seed. Shades of pastel pink, rose, salmon, orange, white and yellow, and striking bicolor blooms create a tapestry of unexpected beauty. Provide sharply drained soils. Picture perfect in a terracotta pot, it will bloom all season long."
