Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Everyone claims that these beautiful plants are hardy to zone 6, possibly zone 5, I can't confirm that as I haven't had the time to plant them out. Stay tuned.
A wonderful selection originally from seed. Developed in England in the late 1940s. Cold Hardy with large violet blue heads up to 10". This is a deciduous selection and is fun to watch as it come out of the ground in spring.
Large rounded umbels of deep violet to pale blue trumpet-shaped flowers on strong stems. These hybrids are likely the hardiest of the Agapanthus.
Tropical looking perennial bulbous plant, lush foliage, rounded summer flowerheads in various blue shades. Likes water. 0 °F. South Africa. A popular standard of both the tropical garden and the mixed perennial border, Agapanthus is an easy and rewarding bulbous perennial with lush, green straplike leaves and showy, large rounded flower heads in shades of blue and white held well above the foliage. The plants appreciate some water and are root hardy into the single digits °F. I could say I traveled to the remote corners of South Africa, where Agapanthus is native, to collect this seed, but in reality I ordered it from Chiltern Seeds. (If I ever get to South Africa maybe I could at least fool some people.)
