Nursery contributed plant descriptions
A semi-dwarf variety that produces large blooms even on very young plants. In neutral pH it will produce deep pink blooms, but with a lower (acidic) pH and with aluminum present it will produce blue or blue-purple colored flowers. Like other macrophylla varieties, it produces flowers on the tips of new stems rather than off of old woody stems, so frost damage won't prevent flowering. The semi-dwarf form causes this plant to grow very dense with dark green leaves growing tightly together. Propagated easily by cuttings in summer or winter.
