Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Moon' Campanula is a true long-lived perennial bell flower (many other bell flower/Campanula varieties are short lived or annual plants) with gorgeous white flowers. Plants are very slowly spreading and form tight clumps with leaves starting out small and rounded but emerging as long and slender from the flower stalks in late spring. Although popular for border plantings and beds, 'Moon' Bell Flower really shows its use when planted in rock gardens. It will grow in small cracks in rocks and looks fantastic if planted in moderately to highly sloping rock walls between the individual stones. Additionally, if you have access to large limestone rocks it will grow in the naturally forming fissures.
If planting in rocky areas, mix this plant with various sedum varieties for the best use of tall and short rock plants.

Propagating Campanula 'Moon'
Best propagated in early spring by division. We take one gallon containers and cut them in half from the top down, then in half again into fourths. These divisions completely fill out a one gallon container and flower in a month or so. Smaller divisions can be made but they typically don't flower in the same season.
