Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Alida' is a beautiful form of the fragrant Iris reticulata that is a study in all shades of blue from palest sky blue to glowing royal blue plus every shade in between. Resistance is futile if you love blue. These hardy dwarf iris prefer full sun in a position that is well-drained. They will go dormant by summer so plant them where they can grow up through perennial groundcovers.
This blue dwarf iris looks almost artificial with its true blue hues, electrified orange sweeps on the falls and curled, feather-edged standards. Wow! Consider partnering with irises Katherine Hodgkins or Violet Beauty.
