cactus / succulent, bromeliad
Dyckia fosteriana is an evergreen bromeliad or cactus / succulent with black, blue, bronze and chocolate foliage. In spring and winter orange flowers emerge. Attracts hummingbirds. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in gritty, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.
