Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rosette-forming succulent with strap-shaped, pointed silvery-gray leaves, dusted with white powder. Masses of star-shaped, red flowers bloom from spring to summer on 2' high stalks. Attractively used in pots, rock gardens or on walls. Tilt the rosettes when planting to prevent rain from settling in the crown. Hardy to 20F.
Long-lived & happy with neglect, this giant “Liveforever” forms an elegant, 2’ rosette of ghostly white leaves. In May & July it sends up stout powdery white arching stalks topped by candelabra-like clusters of small, red bellflowers loved by hummingbirds. Use it in a container, tucked into a rock wall or to highlight the front of a rock garden. Good drainage is important & it looks better with a watering (not overhead) about every two weeks in Summer. Also, looks best in part shade in our hotter areas away from the coast. Long lived & increases by producing new rosettes. Hardy to 20 °F. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant.
