Nursery contributed plant descriptions

It's impossible to have too many Dudleyas & D. caespitosa is a looker with its frosty grey- white rosettes & long lasting orangey-yellow hummingbird attracting blooms Spring through Summer. Native to the California coast from LA on up to Monterey, it pretty much takes care of itself as long as you provide good drainage & some sun (if you're inland it prefers a bit of afternoon shade). It doesn't even mind if you don't bother watering it all Summer, making it an easy option for a rad hanging basket or container. Rosettes grow up to 1' high & wide, over time you'll get more baby rosettes that form a nice clump.
