Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Hippeastrum 'Dancing Queen' has dramatic double flowers. The petals are white and overlain with salmon pink stripes. Grow in a sunny location (usually in a pot) outside in summer. Fertilize well. Allow autumn frosts to hit the foliage then bring inside, chop off the leaves and allow to dry out in the dark. Give light and water when a bud or new foliage appears. Will bloom indoors in January and February. This First Size bulb will have 1-2 flowering stems.
Large flowers, colorful striped brushings and ruffles galore, Dancing Queen's blooms aren't just pretty, they're happy. No matter how many time we grow this variety, it never gets old. And never disappoints either. If your holidays and/or upcoming January could use a little lift, Dancing Queen is just the ticket. As a gift, it's guaranteed to illicit raves.
