The flavor is mild to moderate and tasty without the bite or burn some garlic delivers. This garlic keeps exceptionally well, sometimes up to a year. Because softneck garlics don't develop a stiff, central stalk, they can be used for braiding. This is one of the last garlics to ripen so be patient; it's worth it.
