Nursery contributed plant descriptions

?An extremely rare, dwarf, densely branched EG shrub? (Hillier) with small scale-like leaves and small berry-like fruits. PSh-Sh/M/GDr
We had this conifer from Siberia for several years then couldn't find any source. We finally took cuttings (easy) and have a supply. This low grower (6"x24") looks somewhat like the form of a juniper but will grow in the shade. The needles are dark green in summer that will turn bronze purple in winter. It is incredibly hardy (-40??).
Bright green spring growth turns dark green summer, then bronze in fall. Hardy Zones 3-7. Deer resistant
A fairly rare Russian plant touted as the 'Juniper for Shade'. It's not a juniper but a 'Look Alike' but it will take shade. Delicate looking, ferny foliage is bright green in spring & takes on a bronzy-purple caste in winter. Described by the U. of Conn. as a "top notch groundcover for Part Shade". Great in groupings. Very cold hardy. Water during dry spells.
