A very interesting form of an already beautiful tree! The shimmery, silvery leaves add another dimension and make this small (20-30') tree wonderful for moonlit gardens. Large, white camellia-like flowers with gorgeous golden-yellow stamens bloom for a long period over summer; this is a not to be missed cultivar selected by Guy and Chiyoko at Plantmad. S-PSh/M

Guy Mitchum found this beautiful form of an already glorious tree. The deep green leaves have a silver sheen to them. These plants will create a real showstopper in the woodland garden. Flowers and bark are also lovely.

One of two 'Pewter' Stewartias selected and developed by Guy & Chiyoko at Plantmad Nursery. A striking twist on the already-lovely S. pseudocamellia species, 'Pewter Form #1' has a silvery-bright sheen all summer, and its new stems are red. It still has the beautiful white, cupped, camellia-like flowers. After speedy growth the first year or two, they are moderate growers to the ultimate height of 20-30' tall. Minimum temperature: -20 °F
