Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Nepeta govaniana, which comes from Kashmir, is unlike most catmints in that it will only thrive in a cool, moist (but not soggy) place, and prefers protection from hot sun. It is an upright, loosely graceful herbaceous perennial that can reach 4-6' tall, and--once again going against the grain for a catmint--it has open sprays of large, pale yellow blooms during summer through fall. It does have one significant trait in common with its relatives: the birds, butterflies, and bees will love it! Minimum temperature: -5 °F
