Another hardy Impatiens this one from Ethiopia! Tall succulent stems from tuberous rootstock 3-4’ tall topped with big apricot-salmon flowers in summer. Morning sun to bright shade, moist soil with good drainage; seems hardy in the PNW.
From Ethiopia, soft salmon-pink flowers bloom in summer on a bushy plant. Light shade is preferred inland, more sun possible at the coast. This plant will also want good drainage even though it does come from stream margins in Ethiopia and likes the moisture. Some recommend a mulch to protect the crown from frost. 3-4' Minimum temperature: 0 °F
