Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A wonderful, small growing RARE dorstenia that forms a nice squat caudex with branching. A bizarre relative of the Fig family. Seeds shoot off explosively, propelled by hydraulic pressure when they are ripe. The flowers on horwoodii are have a much smaller receptacle base than dorstenia foetida, and the leaf margins are much more crisped and wavy than any other dorstenia. Extremely rare in cultivation!
