    Adenium obesum ssp. socotranum is a challenging to grow, slow-growing deciduous cactus / succulent, shrub or tree with green foliage. In spring and summer pink flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in winter, dry when dormant. Does well in average, gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

    One of the more difficult adenium to grow, Adenium socotranum is native only to the island of Socotra, a legendary island full of botanical treasures found nowhere else on Earth. A. socotranum grows very slowly and over time forms a tall, pachycaul trunk topped with sparse vegetation and pink flowers. This adenium will grow up to 6 feet tall.
