Allstar Strawberry is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial fruit / vegetable with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Attracts bees and beneficial insects making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil.
Fragaria 'Allstar' is aptly named for its highly sought-after fruit production. White flowers with pretty yellow centers appear in early spring giving way to some of the largest strawberries produced in June. Fruit is glossy, firm, sweet and juicy. Plant size can reach 6-8 inches in height by 36 inches wide. A low maintenance plant. Perfect in containers, in the food garden and as a ground cover. Attracts song birds.
Allstar produces high yields of large, sweet, juicy berries in late spring and early summer. As a June-bearer, the harvest season is concentrated over a few weeks, making it a good choice if you want to freeze or cook with a lot of berries at one time.
