Dark green leaves grow to 7" long and 4" wide, with lighter green turning to silver undersides. Fragrant flowers appear May-June, nodding and white with crimson stamens and a ring of pink in the center. Prefers at least partial shade and moist soil.

We haven't had plants of M. wilsoni in many years. This pretty large tree can have thousands of flowers on a 30' tree. Blooms similar to M. sieboldii but are a flatter flower, which shows the maroon stamens. Blooms in May in a massive show. Very Fragrant!
