    Gladiolus 'Nymph' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In summer pink and white flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

    Gladiolus nanus is a smaller, hardy gladiola native to Africa. 'Nymph' has orchid-like, white flowers with pretty, hot pink markings on the lower petals. They have the benefit of a long bloom period, taking little space to grow such that they combine well with other plants, and make excellent cut flowers. Bulbs require good drainage. Leave the foliage to nourish the bulb after cutting back the flower stalk and mulch in winter.

    Each creamy white bloom on Nymph's 2-3 foot stalks forms an almost triangular shape with a fan of lower petals swept with bright pink watercolor markings. This flower looks like something created in art class, not a living thing that springs from soil. With a profile of only 3-4", a trio (or more) of these can be tucked almost anywhere there's a tiny unplanted sun spot.
