Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Coreopsis tripteris 'Gold Standard' is a tall, vertical tickseed that towers over other members of the genus at almost six feet with linear green to blue green leaves and masses of classic bright yellow Coreopsis flowers with brown centres in early fall. 'Gold Standard' is more strongly upright and slightly shorter than the species while also producing flowering side branches. Combine with fall asters and Japanese anemone. A great late season eastern North American native for bees. It is rhizomatous with clumps increasing in size each year.
A fantastic improvement over the species, ‘Gold Standard’ is hardy as nails, super disease resistant and more compact. It brightens the early fall garden alongside early asters, attracts native bees, and adds bright luminous gold and red foliage in late autumn.
