Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Has been available for many years and is still a wonderful camellia. Blooming in November-December with rich red single flowers. The stamens are vibrant yellow. Foliage is deep green on an upright plant.
As the name implies this wonderfully cheerful Camellia blooms near Christmas! A wonderful treat as the weather is typically dark and grey, 'Yuletide' erupts with bright Christmas-red, yellow centered flowers from December through January. Only a handful of flowers open at a time, so periodic frosts will not dampen the show. This delightful evergreen shrub with a compact 5-7' habit is perfect for specimen or hedge. PSh-S/M
One of the most popular camellias and for good reason as it bursts forth with red flowers with golden eyes during the dreary days of winter.
Upright winter blooming camellia with glossy dark green leaves and intense dark red flowers with yellow stamens. Blooms in early spring. Growth Rate medium, 6-12" annually
Perfectly formed, bright red flowers with yellow stamens, about 3 inches across. Profuse bloomer over a long period particularly around Christmas time. Deep dark green glossy foliage adorns this vigorous yet dense and compact naturally upright to pyramidal shaped Camellia Sasanqua. The small leaved Sasanaqua Camellias make excellent landscape or container plants and are much more tolerant of sun and soil conditions than the larger flowered Japonica Camellias. These durable evergreen shrubs cover themselves in 2-3" flowers in fall and early winter and before the flowers fade the petals fall individually to form a colorful blanket beneath the dark glossy green foliage. These dwarf Camellias are amenable to pruning and shearing which should be done in spring. Sasanquas do appreciate a humus-rich soil, an organic mulch, and average moisture until well-established.
With petals of crimson red with an orange cast, accented by a punch of gold stamens in the center, these large, cheerful, single blooms come just at the right time to add a spark of color to your winter holiday! The midseason blooms are long-lasting, and the compact plant with its dark, glossy leaves.
