Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A clear favorite among green bean lovers. The beans are long & slender, completely stringless, tender & the flavor is exceptional. They are delicious when picked young as well as after the bean seeds start swelling & Freeze well if you can’t eat them all. Very early & vigorous, it climbs to 8-10’ & will need a pole or a trellis for support. For easier picking, snip off tips when the vine reaches 6’ tall. Compared to bush types, pole beans produce beans over a much longer period & will keep producing as long as you keep harvesting beans.
Everyone who grows this runner bean says it's the best they have ever grown! Long round pods- up to almost a foot long are tender and delicious, with that true "beany" flavor. Pick when young or allow to enlarge, for they are stringless even as seeds start to enlarge at 10" long.
