The perfect tree for urban dwellers! This narrow columnar selection reaches 30? tall by only 10? wide, in spring the leaves emerge in pretty shades of gold before turning a lovely lime green for the summer until autumn brings out beautiful shades of apricot and plum; its high tolerance of pollution and poor soils make it a wonderful addition to city streets. A newly available columnar Parrotia with golden-yellow leaves turning to the familiar shades of purple, orange, and red in the fall. Will eventually reach 30 feet tall, but only 10 feet wide. Bark will also exfoliate over time revealing pink tones underneath. A superior selection found by Ken Christianson in Washington.
