Arctostaphylos morroensis is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with blue and green foliage. In spring and winter pink and white flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Attracts bees, birds, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, gritty, lean and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something seaside / salt tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Native to California this silver-leaved manzanita can reach 6' tall x 10' wide. Bark is red-gray and shreds handsomely. Small bell-flowers are blushed pink in mid winter producing small, red drupes. Happy in lean, very well-drained soil with hardy any summer water. Sun and more sun.
