Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This incredibly showy Beautyberry has attractive pale-pink flowers in summer appearing in clusters along the new growth branches. The flowers give way to an astonishing fruit display in fall and early winter, when the dark-merlot colored stems are absolutely covered with large clumps of bright-purple shiny berries. S/M
'Purple Giant' Beauty Berry (also known as Plump and Plentifulâ„¢) produces bright purple berries in the fall which persist into the winter until eaten by birds, and produces far more fruit than any other variety currently available. Snow Berry Bush has beautiful white berries around the same time as 'Purple Giant' and together the two make excellent display arrangements using the cut stems with berries attached. The berry color on both is very pure and they compliment each other very well. For dramatic landscaping, we recommend alternating plants of both varieties in a row or hedge. Plants are easily grown in medium drained soil with summer irrigation and the leaves are a grass-green during the summer, forming an excellent hedge or landscape specimen. They can be pruned in the winter into formal shapes or left alone. We recommend pruning plants back the first few years to encourage extra strong branching near the base, but if you don't they will do just fine without it. Propagating Purple Giant Beauty Bush/Callicapra Beauty Bush is best propagated by collecting seed and sowing outdoors in the fall or winter.
Is covered with thousands of vibrant purple fruit. Makes a superb cut flower/fruit. New to us. The description and picture are amazing.
