Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Beautiful evergreen foliage is elongated and elegant on this 14” tall choice clumper and would make it garden worthy on its own merit. Flowers are a toasty yellow with a caramelized burnt red orange center in spring and often repeats during the growing season. This will take drier conditions and can be counted on in dry shade sites but better blooms with regular moisture, good soil and bright shade. This is high on the plant lust scale!
(Formerly sold as E. wushanenese 'Caramel') A decidedly different type of Epimedium, with evergreen, narrow, strongly toothed leathery foliage with a thick substance which is red mottled in spring. Caramel is a good description of the bloom color; they are held in large numbers well above the foliage on tall racemes. Blooms later than most Epimedium.
Big, spidery, caramel-colored flowers are suffused with dark orange toward the center, and wonderful long, narrow, evergreen leaves are rose-purple when young; their spiny edges are more ornamental than threatening. This plant would be worth just the leaf if the flowers weren't so exquisite. Minimum temperature: -20?F
Has caramel colored flowers above the deep green spiny margined foliage. Said to be a real focal point in the garden.
