Sedum kamtschaticum 'Weihenstephaner Gold' plant details

Such a handy little Sedum. We gardeners pretty much always could use a beautiful easy going groundcover that carpets the garden floor and politely spills over the edges of the border just so. Sedum 'Weihenstephaner Gold’ checks a lot of boxes. Serrated edges of the succulent leaves are interesting to look at when they're plain green plus it colors up with rosy tones in fall. Yellow flowers light up the summer garden, and red seed heads follow. Spreads, in a good way, to cover more ground, but not overly enthusiastically. Plant it where it spills over the side of a wall or container to get that oh-so-beautiful trailing effect.

Sedum kamtschaticum 'Weihenstephaner Gold' is a semi-evergreen groundcover cactus / succulent with green foliage. In summer yellow flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average, gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and pollution tolerant.
