A miniature Alberta Spruce with a very dense, conical habit and new growth that emerges in small tufts of lightly-colored needles, giving the appearance of pixie dust. In more temperate climates, a second push of growth is even more colorful.

Picea glauca Pixie Dust Z: 2-7 Tiny pyramid white spruce. In spring the rounded buds produce short dark-green needles with a blue-green cast. Then comes the midsummer magic of new lemon-yellow growth which makes a dramatic contrast to the older darker foliage. Expect this miniature to be approximately 18" tall x 10" wide in 10 years. Excellent for all small landscapes including Garden RR. Perfect for containers such as troughs, Fairy gardens, or as mini garden tree. Chosen as 2006 Conifer Collector’s Plant of the year.
