Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Agave x leopoldii has compact, tight rosettes with upright, slender, dark green foliage. White, thread-like filaments curl along the lead edges. This is an easy care, drought tolerant plant that is great in landscapes and containers or can adapt as a houseplant. Provide a well drained soil away from reflected heat. Once established, water infrequently during the hot season. Protect from frost!
Agave x leopoldii is an old hybrid between A. filifera and A. schidigera. It has strong, narrow, dark green leaves edged with white filaments giving the plant a "hairy" look. In hot sun and/or with a little drought a nice red flush can develop in the foliage. Potentially hardy outside on the west coast in warm microclimates with good drainage. Otherwise this small agave makes for a good houseplant in winter.
Compact and architectural century plant brought to us by Yucca Do Nursery, the narrow, slightly curved leaves with a gray-blue-going-green sheen complete with a few stripes and polka dots. Offsets eventually. A most attractive, small container plant, rarely growing more than 18”, and a great addition to the dry or rock garden in a sunny site with gritty soil. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8, to 15 °F or so and as low as 10 °F if protected from overhead moisture.
