Small, mounding shrub with bright yellow foliage. Initially in spring the foliage is tinged with red, then changes to solid bright yellow in summer and orange-red in the fall. If planted in too much shade it will be more yellow green. Small, pale yellow flowers appear in late April to May and form into glossy, bright red berries by the fall.
