Charming aeonium, 'Cyclops' with its bronzy maroon leaves with a green "eye" in the center of the rosette. But 'Blackbeard' branches lower on the stem, forming a clump of rosettes to 2-4' tall x 2-3' wide. Thought to be a hybrid of A. 'Zwartkop' and A. simsii, these stunning succulents require well-drained soil in sun or shade with a little water for plants in the ground and a bit more for those in containers. Frost hardy to 25 °F, mid USDA zone 9, so best in pots or a very!! protected area.
