Delosperma ‘Jewel of Desert Peridot’ features a low mat of succulent, blue-green foliage covered in large, yellow, daisy-like flowers with white eyes. Ideal for rock and alpine gardens. Needs excellent drainage and benefits from gravel mulch. Ice Plant is ideal in borders, mass plantings and containers. Deer resistant.
Delosperma Jewel of the Desert 'Peridot' has citrusy yellow starry flowers with icy white centres. Flowers from late spring through fall. Ice plants are long-blooming and carefree succulent mat-forming perennials similar to sedums that thrive in heat, drought and nearly any well-drained soil. Very hardy but should be protected from winter wet either with very well drained soil or in the rainshadow of a house or other structure. Deer resistant.
This Ice Plant is part of the Jewel of the Desert series and has saturated, vivid yellow flowers. A carpet of succulent leaves spreads out 10in wide and 4in tall. Flowers begin in spring and are continuos through the first frost. Drought tolerant though some summer water is best. Excellent in rockeries, along path edges, and in containers. Full Sun.
