Agave deserti is an evergreen cactus / succulent with blue foliage. Features glaucous texture. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in winter. Does well in average, gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Agave deserti hails from southern California, Arizona and Baja California and is a truly desert-adapted species. It is small to medium-sized and has silver-blue leaves. It is solitary or can make occasional pups. Potentially hardy in coastal BC in very sharp drainage with overhead protection from rain in winter. Elsewhere protect indoors in winter.

A quite hardy Agave species from Utah. We're taking a somewhat informed guess as to the species and yes I know a little knowledge can be dangerous. Beware also of the lethal armor this possesses. Ouch! Makes a dense colony of rosettes by rhizomes. These originally from a thriving colony under a deck in Seattle. Good drainage.
California Native to 36" - protect from winter rains. Hardy to 18°F.
