Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A Cistus introduction. Yet another variant of this popular West Coast native sedum, this from atop Serpentine Point in Oregon’s Siskiyou Mountains growing on north slopes in the shade of evergreen oaks and resembling a possible intermediate with the ssp. purdyi. Rosettes are a pretty aqua-blue, densely held and usually under 1/2” in diameter with numerous spidery offsets. Easy in cultivation for troughs, rock gardens, or small-scale groundcover. Has been tolerant of both sun and shade and very drought tolerant in summer dry places. We expect frost hardiness in USDA zone 5. Crassulaceae
