A succulent of the oleander family. Fleshy stems and leaves bear extremely showy 2" open trumpet like clusters of flowers in pink and white with a hint of red. With age the trunk becomes swollen at the base, making this a great bonsai subject. Needs very well drained soil and must be kept on the dry side, in bright light and a minimum of 55 degrees. Blooms in the spring and fall. Warning : all parts of desert rose are poisonous - keep out of reach of children and animals.
Red to pink edged white, 2" trumpet shaped flowers are born singly and in clusters atop sturdy succulent stems that emerge from the interesting thick swollen base or caudex. Flowers are produced over a long period in summer.
Rare, large caudex base with long stems, bonsai style. Dry in winter.; Hardy to 35 °F.
